NBA Live 08 on the WII(blog update)

That's the Wii version, and most likely the PC version will look like it, since both are using current gen/last gen technology. But yeah, psp version will look about the same, I guess.

I just noticed Pdub's screenshot.. they changed the banner now to Nba live 08 from Live 07

The Wii isn't supposed to be about graphics anyway. I figured we all knew that by now, but everyone still continues to gripe about it. If the gameplay is better, who cares? Now if the gameplay isn't any better, then we have a problem.

Anyone who has a Wii definitely knows how much fun the system is without having superior graphics.

wow, the PC NBA Live 07 graphics look tons better than the wii version....

and how much fun could the wii version be? i mean, its just "flail your arms around to shoot" and "move your arm to the left to dunk" how can that be fun?!

its not like your gonna be using your arms to do crossovers, which would be awesome.

I love how everyone assumes you have to flail about wildly to control Wii games. Guess what, real life isn't like what you see on TV commericals.

It isn't like you don't do the same motions for 30 minutes with current controls, or say, in real life...

The Wii version will be lousy for two reasons:
1. It's NBA Live 07.
2. They just replaced the button presses with gestures, it's not mapped to the actual movements you're making. Like most lousy third-party games.

exactly. it's not much of a difference at all. and if the wii's only selling point is those gestures that they've been talking about.. then, well, it would suck

The Live 08 Wii version's selling point may be that, but not the Wii itself.

Also, it looks like, in recent EA fashion, the Wii version is a PSP port and not even a PS2 port. Sigh...
