Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

this is my suggestion for the current gen team of nba live 08
if the next gen game is that good, then why not put everything the next gen has into current gen platforms? then just simplify the graphics?
i mean, the only thing that next gen has on current gen is that it has better graphics. so why not just put all the new features, all new animations, the new AI, the hot spots, the quick strike, the "own the paint", the go to moves... everything into the current gen? and then they just simplify the graphics?
it might require a lot of space, but so what? the current gen platforms can handle it
___
so is there anything I'm missing? the fact that nobody has thought of this idea makes me wonder that I maybe wrong about something here... enlighten me

it takes a lot of processing power to take all of those features in the game,it is not only about the graphics, but it is not worth investing any interest in the pc version for them because they won't make a profit

dont see much of a reason to not put this into the pc thread

Um, a PC port is pretty much straight profit.

That question has been posed to the development team before and basically the answer was that the hardware limitations of the now outdated consoles go beyond the graphics.

what kind of hardware limitations? its still the same 10 guys on the court with some new control mechanisms, some new features, new animations, and new AI.... how limited can it be

My suggestion is ... when the ball is going out of bounds, the player can jump catch it and throw it in game ...

Platinum...the processing power of the xbox 360 and the ps3 is far superior to the last gen consoles. Take the original xbox for example: its processor ran at a speed of 733 mhz. The 360 has 3 integrated processors running each at 3.2 ghz (3,200 mhz) for a total speed of 9,600 mhz. That's over 13 times faster than the original. That's how limited the old consoles are...

Not exactly how it works...

The old consoles have inferior processors and memory compared to the new consoles which are required to handle all the processes. It isn't just a matter of storage space to include the new features. It wouldn't be an issue with the PC version but as discussed elsewhere, the PC version suffers due to those limitations on the old consoles because it's a port of that version and not the Xbox 360/PS3 version.
