i am sure it has been said somewhere in some topic but i really dont want to look soooooo, anyone know what the cut off date is?
i ask cause with all the moves the celts are making i am worried that they wont be in the game. the trades and such are easy for me to do but if they brought reggie back he would not be in the game and i hate making players. anyway thanks

End of August or Early September I think it usually is!!

Last year they were from July 27th, so by the progression I guess this year you'll play with the 1995-96 season rosters.

thats crazy they cut it off so early, just to rush the game out prior to the season. i think they should release it a little after the season starts, give themselves more time to add all the off season changes

They seem to sneak a couple of transactions in after the listed cut off date though. I recall the official cut off date for NBA Live 2002 was September 10th but Michael Jordan was included in the active rosters despite making his Wizards comeback official a couple of weeks later. I believe they might have a little leeway when it comes to transactions involving players who are already included in the game; they might not be able to add any new players after the cut off but it seems they have been able to include transactions that have occured after the listed dates in previous games.

And once again, the cutoff and release dates come from the NBA not EA.
Not for nothing, the 1995-96 season kicked ass. I'll take that years Western Conference Play-Offs over last years any day.

the cut off date comes from the nba? where did you hear this?

EA themself. They said it in an NBA Street community day interview. The NBA does it so both games are released on the same day so none of the companies get a lead in sales for releasing a game early. I'm not actually sure if the roster cut off dates are mandated by the NBA.

The NBA sets those as well.
