EDIT: Okay, make that 5 hours. :D

Take a look at the pic with Shaq. Enlarge it, and look closely at his knees.

T-MAC! How did I miss him?!

You can really see the polygons though...EA made excellent use of bump and normal maps (and many other maps I probably don't even know about)!

Same...T-Mac's been my hero since I played my first game with the Rockets on Live 06. After watching some of his videos, he seemed to me like a humorous guy with a great personality! Just like Agent Zero.

I can't wait to get this game, I'm getting a 360 soon and can't wait for it to come out.

The graphics in the game are absolutely incredible from what we've seen, and we still got til october.

Also the great thing is they say they're getting 60 fps constant and it's ridiculously smooth. Just awesome.

i saw the videos and i gotta say i'm really excited and just hoping it's a halfway decent game so I don't have to play 2K anymore. honestly, when a game can make you slam the controller on the ground out of frustration because of its animations and gameplay... that shows it's not a good game.

Ill tell you what, if this game plays as half as good as it looks. This game is gonna be amazing. Im not gonna lie, before EA even started releasing photos and stuff, I was telling myself don't believe anything they say or show you. Even the first images and videos I was hesitant but now, things keep looking better and it seems EA is finally putting in a conscious effort to please their consumers so they better not disappoint me anymore because I really can't play 2k anymore

2k or Live?

EDIT - Why did I even ask? Live, obviously.

you know, despite the fact that 2K is heralded as "the realistic sim" game of the two, I get really really angry when I play 2K also.
whenever bitches online full court press for the whole game or trap you so you can't pass to a teammate without passing out of bounds, passing the ball over a posting teammate that's being fronted out of bounds, passing it in bounds only to have your player catch the ball and run out of bounds in one animation, when you bounce pass and it hits an opponent's foot and it goes out of bounds and you lose the ball or the other team picks it up and dunks, the fact that wide open shots still miss with perfect releases, that Ben Wallace swishes bad release free throws, and many more.

"in NBA Live 08's franchise mode, that hot spot information will be tracked dynamically and will adjust over the course of a season. "

This is new news I haven't seen in any other articles... I do like this idea though....Making the franchise mode more dynamic will lead to a longer game experience IMO! Can't wait for dynasty info...I hope they have lots of stuff including draft day trades and user controlled training sessions...
Allow myself to introduce....myself?

Every game has its flaws, but when you compare the two game overall, 2k easily take animations to the next level. Online is a different story, people are idiots online, they double-team, full-court press, steal on inbounds, dunk all day but you cannot really control the way they want to play (most of the times that is)

Back to the thread:

Live models are GREAT, Kobe looks spot on............ BUT, that is a DAMN "PICTURE" We won't even be seeing his face most of the time when we're playing the game so it won't matter so much. This is what I mean as far as EA F'ing up! They give you great looking graphics but their gameplay sucks as always, it's jerkey, and out of proportion!
"live by the 3, die by the 3"

Dontello regarding Live 07: "this year's real new feature was 'freestyle customer service"
