Awesome. I'm loving just the thought of the toolbox to create my own go-to move.

Sat Jul 07, 2007 3:48 pm

that was a great spin by diaw at about 3:34 :)

Sat Jul 07, 2007 3:57 pm

Sat Jul 07, 2007 4:16 pm

Ya!!! U didn'twatch the vid?

Sat Jul 07, 2007 5:28 pm

Yeah, but you need your own motion capture studio. :P

I find it funny that you linked the video, and many other articles, but have yet to watch it. I remember someone doing stuff like this last year, being the first to post the info most of the time.

Wow...the gameplay footage looks much better than the short clips from a few weeks ago. Now I'm getting my hopes up again...*sigh*.

Sun Jul 08, 2007 1:47 am

good job of arenas sayin live 07 was the worst lmao any 08 10 times better? gon wait n see

Sun Jul 08, 2007 2:38 am

Is it just me or do they still have a bit of the "choking" animations going on? I thought they fixed it, but there were still clips of people dribbling, "choking" in their dribble, then switch to a new dribble move with little to no transition. But nonetheless, the foot-planting is well done. So I'm happy.

Sun Jul 08, 2007 11:32 am

I didn't see any choking animations...but maybe I missed them :?

Sun Jul 08, 2007 11:45 am

60 frames wtf?? they are talking about xbox right? Pc version graphic will be fucked up as always.

There are some of it in the "sizzle" clip, as well as the hotspot clip (focus on Bruce Bowen, when he stops at the corner, he "chokes" once or twice)

It's not really an animation, it's more of the players simply "stop moving" for a fraction of a second or so. It doesn't matter if we play the game with cameras zoomed out, but small things like this are fairly noticeable and also kind of gives the "current-gen" feel as does the former "foot-sliding" issues. But again, I can see a lot of effort being put into the gameplay this year, so I can live with this kind of stuff.

Yes, they're talking about the Xbox 360 version.

Thanks for another find, 617KiD. :)

Woa.... Gilbert said shit.
Game looks pretty good though.

Sun Jul 08, 2007 7:43 pm

with all the great spinning moves and post stuff. . . I just hope the controls are easy to handle. . . I may get an Xbox 360 if this game is really 10x better than 07. . .

Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:58 pm

The controls are very simple. Performing Quick Strike moves is pretty much the same as Freestyle control; pressing up on the right analog performs a spin, holding up performs the half/fake-spin, moving left to right and right to left performs a crossover and so on. The system is better but the controls are just as easy to learn.

Sun Jul 08, 2007 9:23 pm

So Freestyle Control has been taken off?
