nba 2k7 did not make its current gen any different than next gen (gameplay wise and they use the same rating system)

Oh yeah and nba 2k8 is back on current gen systems so EA needs to step up this year

lets hope ea didnt forget they got a lot of fans pissed last year

The bottom line is that Current Gen systems do not have the same capabilities as Next Gen systems and as a platform will likely be phased out in the next couple of years. The focus is going to be on developing the game for the new, more powerful hardware rather than the outdated consoles. As discussed several times in the PC thread, the PC version unfortunately suffers as a result of those restrictions as it remains a port of the Current Gen version despite the fact it could support a Next Gen port because the PC market is small in comparison to the console market.

Having said that, hopefully the Current Gen version will show an improvement over last year, if not innovation.

I will be definately buying Live 08, and it will most likely be on PS2 (unless I somehow get a PS3) and I would really like some major improvements on last year's piece of crap. If there aren't many improvements, I will have to somehow find a way to get a PS3. Please EA! Fix the current gen!

well most likely I will be getting a xbox 360 anyways

then i could finally get back to nba 2k series but im also getting the 360 nba live 08 too because im noticing improvements.

i may give nba live 08 pc another shot too.

Just got a 360.....couldn't stand the retread that the PC version has become.
