not overly impressed...no gameplay which is a bummer, but the only "new" thing that sounds like they are doing are collisions.

signature jumpshots should be the last thing on these people's minds. Here's hoping they truly do focus on the basics though. Every other game EA seems to be making nowadays like fight night and that new skate game really tried to make intuitive yet deep controls. I really hope they try doing that for this.

It's still pretty promising to hear all of that, I like the emphasis on physics improvements. But once again all these changes will probably be applied to the next-gen only, so the PC users will be screwed...

I ask myself .. can we really believe what he is telling us ? I mean officially they told us all this stuff last year and we ended up with live 07 as maybe the live with the most bugs.
And they do not sound like they regret all that .. he did not loose a word about what was weak last year.
I am really hoping .. we all know EA can do it better than last year, hopefully they know it, too.

Brian did actually acknowledge that in the conference call, that NBA Live 07 wasn't the game they were hoping it to be. Anyway, I doubt they're going to make a grovelling apology in every preview/promo for NBA Live 08.

As I understand it they're not getting rid of the concept, just toning it down and removing the unrealistic moves.

do u guys think EA is just gonna rip off 2K's gameplay or something like that? coz i see no way Live is gonna be a "basketball-focused" game

NBA Live has better gameplay than 2k. . the main reason cause you can controll your player, too much animation controlling your moves in 2k. Live was like that in 05 but they got rid of that in 06, which is my fav. Live of the new millenium

I never got a chance to play 2K. So the main problem with it is that you don't have a lot of control on your players?

i have no problem controlling my player in NBA 2K, but i have a hard time driving to the basket since the "turbo" button is also the button for the crossovers, etc

what he said is bullsh*t
they said that last year what he said is only being applied to next-gen
