Artwork for a 2020 Season Roster Update

As some of you may know, I'm currently working on a 2020 season roster update for NBA 2K11. If I can find the time, I'd like to do the same for NBA Live 2005-08, or at least perhaps help coordinate efforts to create one.

To that end, I thought we could compile a list of needed artwork. I'd need to double check which assets we already have, especially when it comes to faces, before I can make a specific list. However, that's something I can keep tabs on and update here in the first post. At a glance, it's mostly players that have come along in the past couple of seasons that we need, along with new team art.

For now, there's no detailed list, but it's something to work on. Overall, we'd need the following:

• Faces
• Portraits
• Jerseys
• Courts
• Logos

Logos are something I can take a shot at at some point; they're on my list of modding ideas at least. gonsi has just shared a bunch of updated portraits, and we have quite a few faces already courtesy of s_brat.

If anyone wants to take a shot at the jerseys, 94222qjh has already made them for NBA Live 2005 (they're easy to convert for use with NBA Live 06), and has kindly granted permission for them to be converted for use with NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08. Anyway, just putting it out there. Obviously there aren't as many people playing these old games, but it would be fun to get updates out for the last few PC releases of NBA Live all the same.

Not really news at this point. There's a good chance that too many people have moved on to make such a project viable. This is more or less an effort to see if it's possible, not an announcement or preview.

I have been really busy lately, but I continue on updating rosters. Once we have updated courts thanks to 94222qjh, it would be great if you could at least convert jerseys for teams such as Minnesota Timberwolves or Utah Jazz, which have no recent version available. The rest of teams are also important, but they were included in a pack released for the last season. Thanks in advance.

theres's a full 2020 update on a chinese site (JD NBA). i've tried to download it multiple times but they uploaded it through Baidu. I guess starting from ground up would be best until i find a chinese modder who can download it for me

Definitely. It's also easier to work from your own resources as far as the roster files are concerned, else you're potentially dealing with other people's errors and stitched together workarounds that you're not aware of.

I edited Gonsi’s roster and added correction numbers and the new arena names (Little Ceasers Arena, Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse etc). I’m gonna post it in downloads. Also I’m working on a new title screen and a few faces(only a few because I suck at making them)

At this point we just need Jerseys and (correct) faces. I wanna try to convert the faces from 2K (which my boy Cavil did for Zion) but when it comes to head shape and hair I’m oblivious
