(NEW) -Need help with NBA Live 08 PS2

Hey, I need help on how to update rosters/courts/uniforms for NBA Live 08 on PS2. There's various sites that have these updates and I have no idea how this works. Do I download them on the computer and put my ps2 disc in my computer? I am new to this and very lost!! any help is greatly appreciated.

Nope. You can't write to a PS2 disc. The updates you see in this community are for the PC version only and will not work with the PS2 game. We can't edit the PS2 version like we can the PC version.

Really? So no one ever made any update on NBA Live 08 for PS2?

I don't recall many (if any) being posted around these parts.

The only thing you can do is edit the rosters in-game with the limited tools at your disposal, save them and share them via a Gameshark or similar device. You can't make a detailed roster update like you can with the PC where you can externally edit the roster files, nor can you change any of the art files because they're not installed on a hard drive.

So I would have to create every player not already in the game

Yes, though there's a limit on how many players you can create (I think 50, from memory). You also wouldn't be able to assign them a custom face texture or edit some of the hidden attributes like you can on PC.
