TRAX ALBUM ART EDITING TUTORIAL nba live 08

Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:59 am

I've seen a lot questions on how to edit trax art on nba live 2008. And yes i know you cant find the video of the tutorial, even using the SEARCH option, google, youtube and others. I've experienced the same thing. and none of the patchers have actually responded on how to edit those arts. i dont know if they dont know how or they're just too busy doing some other stuffs for the game or they dont want to share.. Anyway, i came up with "another" way of editing the TRAX ARTS. Well i call it another for it's not the official way of editing, i've just figured it out myself using my available resources and it works fine for me.. so lets get started . . .

1. Go to the download section (the GENERAL DOWNLOADS to be specific) and get EA graph editor and FshX
2. You'll also need the MUSIC ART files included in the TUP 11 files.. (whoever made those arts, CREDITS TO HIM OR HER, if you ever pass by and read this, i used your work as a base for editing, i have not asked permission for i dont know whom i should ask but then again CREDITS goes to you, thank you)

***download this!! http://www.mediafire.com/?yywy5cff45c7f0r (traxtemplate) you'll be needing it later..

3. Lets say you'll start at xsong12. Open the file misc~albums~Aasim.big using EA graph editor. you'll see on the left side of the window 4 files, click on the Aasim.fsh file and then extract.. then you'll be asked to save file. go save it to wherever you want to place it. (do not rename the file)

4. I suppose you already have the album art you'll need for your new music that would replace the art of Aasim, if not, go and download the picture then resize the photo (370 x 275) (**ive used photoshop in resizing, its up to you what software you'll use) and save it in any name and if possible save the file in .bmp format.

5. Then using MS PAINT, open the ART file you've just edited (the 370 x 275 photo). Using the select tool from PAINT, select the whole photo then right click on it and copy.

6. Now open paint again, and open the TraxTemplate that i have provided above. when opened, Paste the photo (370 x 275) on it. by now it should have replaced the "The Beatles" photo on the template i have provided. Then save the file in .bmp format

7. Using FshX, open the file that you have just extracted from the misc~albums~Aasim.big while ago which is i believe the Aasim.fsh file. Now, click on Texture and import.. in here, you'll gonna have to import the file you've just save from MS PAINT in .bmp format. by now you should have the 370 x 275 ART on the FshX screen.. click on file then save.

8. Now, open Ea Graph Editor, open the misc~albums~Aasim.big file again, click on Aasim.fsh on the left side, and click on import.. import wizard window will appear and select *Add files to an external TAR archive, click on next.. then click on the ADD button, and select on wherever you have saved the Aasim.fsh file you've just edited with the 370 x 275 ART. (note that this is the EDITED Aasim.fsh file) then click on open, then click next and then finish.. after that click on file and save (on Ea Graph editor)..

9. Now that the file is finished, copy the misc~albums~Aasim.big file on your sgsm folder. open the game, and check whether the album art has been replaced..

10. Make sure you use the Traxtemplate i have provided and that your photo is 370 x 275 in size.. and always BACK UP just in case things get messed up. Remember you'll be doing this at your own risk and I, yep me, will not be liable for any untoward incident.

and that's it, that's how i have edited my album art trax. i hope this will help and goodluck.. and again, CREDITS GOES TO WHOEVER the CREDITS should be given.. :) if you have any questions, feel free.. and if you're gonna ban me for using other's work, please dont.. im just trying to help :bowdown2: :bowdown2: thank you..

I'd say it's more a case of the people who did the most work with this stuff have moved on, rather than people not wanting to help. In any case, thanks for posting this info. :)
