Read me or die!!! Deleting generated rookies.

So i am in my second season in my dynasty.And i do not like most of the generated rookies the game produced.So i decided to replace the one's that i did not like(which was exactly 40 of them)with players that were not included in the free agents pool in the first season(E.Jeter,J.Kapono,JJ.Redick,etc.).But there were still some generated rookies that i did not want in the game.So i deleted their records from the players.dbf and appearance.dbf.When i loaded the game to see if they were deleted correctly they were still there.So i guess my question is how do i completely delete the generated rookies that i do not want.An answer is very much appreciated as well as chocolate chip cookies.
For the time being,i just lowered all of their ratings and placed them in the free agents pool.Thanks in advance.

Don't know if this will work, delete their records in players.dbf and appearance.dbf. Then delete the contents of working dbf and current dbf. Make sure to have a backup though.

just edit the salary cap when you start your dynasty so that some of generated and low averaged rookies won't sign by any team.. I notice this in my dynasty

The easiest method would be to overwrite generated players with real ones you wish to add to the Dynasty. Failing that, change their TEAM value to 32 (the Retired Pool).

Locate the player you wish to change in players.dbf, change their data accordingly. Make sure you do the same for their entry in appearance.dbf.

Yeah i was thinking about doing that,but i was not sure.
As for Ismael Smith...i can't find him on the roster.Are you talking about the roster that came with up1?

In a word: don't. Always create players in-game and then edit their database entry as necessary.
