Controlling points

Can I control the points that players score (for example, in play-off mode, players score more than 20 points per game - 29 points, 52 points, 35 points, etc. - too high to be realistic)? How can I make the players more team-oriented and share the ball so that rarely anyone scores above 20 points per game (in simulation)? I'd like to keep top scorers ideally between 15-22 points per game. Is that possible?

As far as gameplay is concerned, you try modifying the Primacy ratings; the higher the rating, the more shots a player will take. In theory this also affects simulated stats but with NBA Live 08's buggy sim engine, the results are far from ideal. You may want to give yesky's sim engine fix a try though.

Thanks for the primacy tip - didn't know what it was and didn't think of it :wink:. One more problem: computer will only substitute some of the players on court, even though I lower their stamina levels (fatigue), and make the substitutions 100% on gameplay settings - still the computer doesn't utilize all players that are on the roster. Any way to fix this?

P.S: what values do I input for the primacy? Is there a range (like 1-100)?

There's not much you can do about substitutions apart from messing around with the Fatigue ratings. Unfortunately, the fatigue and substitution logic is pretty broken in NBA Live 07 and NBA Live 08.
