Roster problem.

Wed Jul 28, 2010 4:38 am

Hi there, I am representing mod forum from Latvia, and we have a little problem with roster.
Hope you guys can help us to solve It. You see, we are up to create our team Latvia in the game NBA Live 08.
So we have tryed to create players thru the DBC 2000 programm, but they just don't show up in the game.
Also we created a team, no problem with that, we can see the team in the game... but what kind of team is it without players? So we hope you know what's the problem, I think there is something we are doing wrong , so correct us please

P.S yes we checked all the id's , It's fine with them, the problem must be somewhere else.
Thanks!

Basically, you shouldn't create players through DB Commander. You should use the in-game Create Player function to create them, then edit the databases as necessary. It's the safest method of adding new players to the game.

Yes, that's a fairly straightforward procedure.

Hi, It's me again
We are close to the ending of the project, only we have few more problems.
With FP's and Roster... I'am adding some FP's in the game just like It's explained thru tutorial, but some of them ain't working, I guess there can be some mistake in Roster, could you tell me where can It be?
And the problem with roster - we are trying to set all 5 starting players from Latvian Team editing ROSTERPOS thru the roster, but in the game they aren't in such way they need to be.

Hope for some advices. ;)

Again, don't modify the database unless you absolutely have to. Use the in-game re-order rosters function for that. Whatever can be done in-game should be done in-game. Only edit the database directly when there's an attribute you can't modify from within the game.
