Help with File saved incorrectly

My son saved his season as a roster by accident. Is there anyway to revert the file back to a season? Thank you!

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to save a season as a roster; you don't get to select the format you save game data in, it's automatically assigned depending on what mode you're in at the time. If anything, the season save will have just overwritten the roster save.
