i have TUP 09. will this not be in conflict with it?

Possibly, if in doubt try the roster only version (though you may have some missing art files). If nothing else, you can only load one roster at a time.

oh. okay. thanks andrew. i really want this patch but then im worrying that it might give me some crashes. what do you suggest?

As I said, you might want to try the roster only version. The biggest problem would probably be related to shoe updates (and even then it wouldn't crash, you'd just have players wearing the wrong shoes or having missing shoe texture errors). You could also make a backup of your sgsm folder, try the full version and if you don't like it/find that there are conflicts, you can restore the old sgsm folder with only the TUP 09 files.

Andrew can you make a 2000's team like the 90's 80's etc. Some suggestions would for the team would be kobe, lebron, mcgrady, carter, iverson, duncan, steve nash. I would definetely download if you make it

It's something I'd consider for future updates but I'd really like to have some proper 00's All-Stars art at my disposal.

hey yall, new here, but this seems like EXACTLY what ive been looking for. im trying to start a little sim league over at sportstwo and i heard 2k really sucks for customizing. anyways, since it is on the computer, i will have to use 08, but with these updated rosters, this will be absolutely perfect. andrew you are a god thank you so much, also any simple advice on getting a league started? we are halfway through the draft now.

any basic pointers?

I'm afraid I've never actually run a sim league so I don't really have much in the way of specific advice except to look at what has made other leagues successful and popular, and make sure you've got a good, fair system in place. I'd be happy to post a bulletin on the main site if you need to fill a few vacancies and the Noticeboard section at the top of the Forum can also be used for any community announcements, such as league membership drives.

all the spots are full i think, ill double check though, i should be getting my copy of 08 in the mail in a day or 2 and i can get everything up to speed. we are in the second month of our draft right now lol, it has taken a loooong time.

trying to come up with a fair way to cap salaries, using fake money can get kinda unrealistic.

im especially nervous about how exporting stat files is going to work for box scores etc, i have ZERO experience doing anything like this.

soooo, got my copy of 08 today and installed the patch, amazing the faces are unreal on the created players.

did some simming, seems like some players are taking way too many shots, jameer nelson scoring 40 ppg and dwight howard like 4. also at least half of the shots for every team are 3 pointers, is this normal?

i then saw the extras in the package, primacy? and something else along with the rubio patch, which i kinda get, but i havent done a dynasty yet, it says i need to put it in the dynasty save file? what is that usually called/where is that?

also... bear with me here.

i am moving all the players around in the game before i start the dynasty/season so i can save the rosters of the sim league. in the future, will i be able to download patches for ratings, next years rookies, etc without completely starting over from scratch? is it only one or the other?

No, you would have to start over if you download a new update and want to use it.

You might want to look into one of the sim engine fixes for NBA Live 08, by default the simulated stats are...well, terrible. If you could get your hands on 06 or 07 instead - preferably 06 - I think you'd find the results are a lot better.
