Anyone knows how to edit hotspots throw dbf editing because i think there not right. Thanks.

The Hot Spots are the last columns in players.dbf, which each column representing a different area of the floor. As far as I can tell, the values are standard 0-99 ratings.

You're welcome. A chart of the different areas that the column was posted a while back, I might have it lying around somewhere. Which reminds me, the DBF Guides are long overdue. Still on the To Do list.

Hi Guys,

Andrew, I noticed that many of the Centers have all the hot spots colored in. I interpret this coloring to mean that the center can shoot anywhere. Is there a way to edit the hot spots and have the centers only shoot within the 3 point arc?

Yes, the Hot Spots can be edited in players.dbf as mentioned above.

where is the players.dbf located, because there are 4 of them

There's no one players.dbf file. Aside from the ones stored in the database folder, a copy of players.dbf is stored in every saved file as it contains player information. Unless you're specifically needing to edit a saved Dynasty/Season game, you should always work with a saved roster; thus, the players.dbf you'll need to edit will be the one that's in the roster save folder.

The Hot Spots have their own fields. Editing SCOREAREA might help, but if a player has a low THREEPTATT (three point attempt percentage) they won't take many threes, at least in gameplay. With the faulty sim engine, they'll probably still take threes in simulation.

I don't know of any offhand, though you might be able to safely use a spreadsheet/database program. Just be sure to make a backup first in case the dbf file becomes corrupted.
