Why doesn't the computer ever makes any pick n roll plays? or at least why can't they change the defense... it's always man to man.
Is there any patch to fix this?

The short answer is, the PC version of NBA Live 08 was an afterthought given that it was a port from the PS2 version, which was developed at a time when the platform was slowly being phased out for NBA Live releases and the current generation of consoles took priority. We're able to update playbooks but at the end of the day there's no sure-fire fix for the AI issues in NBA Live 08 PC.
