How to use new rosters in dynasty and online?

okay just got this game
and i downloaded the newest roster patch

but i'm wondering how to use these rosters in dynasty and online?

Welcome to the Forum. To use the updated rosters in Dynasty Mode, you'll need to make sure you select "No" for the 2007 Draft option.

To use them online, you'll need to copy the .dbf files from the save folder into the database folders under My Documents\NBA Live 08\database (ie originaldb, currentdb and workingdb) as well as the OrigDB folder under the main game folder (eg C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08\database\OrigDB).

Follow the instructions given by Andrew. It can't be any clearer than that... Read and re-read if you don't get it.

You might run into trouble if you've installed the game to a folder other than the default, but check under C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 08 first.

I am having trouble understanding what files I need to copy. I'm sorry I'm a big noob when it comes to this stuff. I'm new to this forum and I have NBA LIVE 08. I read the post above that Andrew posted and I don't understand what it means by I have to copy the .dbf files from the save folder. Help will be very appreciated I wanted to play NBA Live 08 online for a long time with the updated rosters.

It means you need to open up the folders that I've mentioned and copy the files (ie select all, then copy) from the first folder to the second. I'm not sure how else to put it other than the way I did in my second post in the thread, but so long as you've got a basic understanding of moving and copying files around in Windows (basically just copy and paste within the folders) you should be fine; that's all there is to it.

So Andrew, do you open up the save folder that is named 0809Uninjured folder and copy the .dbf files from that and then copy and paste to the different folders you mentioned above?

That's right. Copy everything from 0809Uninjured and paste copies in the other folders I've listed.
