actually it will make the game better because teams will re-sign talent as oppose to seeing top players sit out a year because no one can afford them, this needs to be fixed imo need something to make these players accept smallers deals hard to think they would sit out

True, but it can make game too easy if you can sign almost any player in the league at any time. The result is that nba is starting to look like mlb (yankees).. :lol:

well thats why i use 100m cause one u sign a great player or two good players ur cap space is now gone and u are where u was just with a better team, the players will improve costing more to resign them.

I finally changed it to 100M without crashes. Main reason why I did this, is that the game automatically removes free agents with minimum salaries at the start of the season. I hate spending couple of weeks to tune my roster in dynasty. At least this will help to avoid that.

Hey can anyone here help me find my nba live 08 salary cap HEX value in my franchise file? My cap is $56.63 and the calculator says my HEX string is DD31. I've reversed the 2 digits and subtracted 0.0005 but UltraEdit can't find the string. I noticed there were alternatives on here... can anyone tell me what mine are please? would be very appreciated.

For anybody else, it seems that it can beone of 3 options no matter what salary cap you have.

You have 5663 as your salary cap and the tutorial sais to add a zero to the end so it becomes 56630 and subtract 5 to which it becomes 56625. But, it could also be 56630, or 56635.

So, either add a zero and convert it to hex...
add a 5 and convert it to hex...
or subtract a 5 and convert it to hex.

One of those 3 possibilities is going to work when searching for your salary cap.

56630 = 36DD
56635 = 3BDD
56625 = 31DD

You didn't find any of those 3?

I've deleted the other two threads as there's no need to ask the same question in three different places.

You need to overwrite the existing hex value with a new one. A few basic ones for larger amounts (like $80 mil, for example) are included in the tutorial for easy reference. So basically, you're finding the existing salary cap value and changing it, but both figures need to be converted to hex first. If you've found the existing salary cap value, you're halfway there. :)

You can't just take somebody else's file because it contains essential information about their franchise. It would cause your franchise to crash and be unplayable.
