WorkingDB error?

Postby Chao0104 on Wed Jul 08, 2009 8:25 am

Im using KidJustin's newest roster (4.0) for TUP 9, which I have installed. Whenever I do quickplay or anything else, it works fine. But when I try and start a new dynasty, I get an error message that says codebase error and gives a location to the file (My Documents/NBA Live 08/Database/WorkingDB/Players.DBF) I never made any changes to the dbf files, my copy was bought, and Ive never had an problems like this before, only with this roster, as I tried loading a different roster and starting dynasty and it worked fine. Does anyone know wats wrong? Thanks in advance :D

Try deleting all the files in your currentdb and workingdb folders.

No go, deleted all the files + folders, but when I try to make the dynasty, it still says the same error

Then there could be a problem with the roster itself. You might want to contact KidJustin about it, a fix for that issue might have already been released.

I had the same problem. Problem is in team rosters, they have more than 15 players in team. that is why you cant start a new dynasty mod. Try realease some players and roster will work fine. It works for me.

Ah, I'm guessing he's expanding the rosters beyond 15 via the dbf to reflect the offseason rosters. It's a tricky balance with all the trades, signings and the new draftees. I usually start releasing players who are free agents and leaving select second rounders in the free agent pool with the offseason updates.

Yea, I was able to fix it by just releasing the players that had a rating of 0 to bring all the teams to within the 15 player limit
