NBA Live 08 Update v2.9 released...

I've tested the patch thoroughly and it should not cause any crashes like that; basically if there's a problem with the databases, you shouldn't even be able to load the rosters and it would crash immediately when you try. If you're using a custom aiact.viv file (eg a gameplay fix), it may not be compatible with the rosters which would cause a crash like that. Unfortunately I can't guarantee that the rosters will be compatible with every other patch out there.

thank you so much for the answer, i don't know what is aiact file, but making a research i've found this file in the directory C:\Programmi\EA Sports\NBA LIVE 08\ai\act. Maybe have I to find another aiact file? Where?
I have to say that i've installed your patch on the clean game that is without installing anything else before your patch..
I don't know now what i could do, could you suggest me something?

If you haven't installed any other patches then there shouldn't be any conflicts. The roster shouldn't have any problems with the default aiact file.

I guess try playing a few more games without the patch and see if the same thing happens. Nothing the patch does should cause that crash though and I said it's been tested thoroughly; if it was the patch causing the problem it would happen to everyone and as far as I'm aware it doesn't.

For some reason the 2nd all-star team appears blank and the game crashes when I choose it, the same happens with all the custom made teams added by the patch. Did any one encounter such problem? If so, how do I solve it?
2nd Q: Is it possible to use the patch in fiba world chemp. and 1 on 1 mode?

It shouldn't, they definitely all have players in the database. You haven't tried to substitute a different players.dbf file in there, have you?

The patch will work in all game modes.

It should be. Install the NLSC rosters first though, or rename your sgsm folder temporarily while you install the NLSC update, delete the sgsm folder it creates and then restore the name of your proper sgsm folder so that no art is overwritten.

Well, they're two different types of patches so there isn't really a comparison.

You should just be able to run install.exe. It should place the rosters and art in all the appropriate folders.

.in what folder i will put it.i put the .psh and .ebo to sgsm folder only.some in uniforms the .viv file.whats wrong to my nba live??.soree for the asking so many things.i know your the only can help me.thank you sr andrew.for your kindly consideration.

You don't have to put the install.exe anywhere in particular. Just run it; you should even be able to do that within Winzip.
