Assistant Head Coach Issue Please Help!!

I am currenly in my first year of a dynasty in NBA Live 08, for Xbox 360, with the Chicago Bulls and I did a fantasy draft. I have put on the dynasty settings on manual and turned the simulation of special events off. Every time I try to set the event scheduling when it asks me to, the assistant coach still ends up doing whatever he wants on the next off day inbetween games. I put like 40% days off and he puts like 83% anyway and after it starts the option is grayed out and you can't change anything after that. Can anyone please help me to schedule my own events without the coach taking over? I've tried everything I could think of!
