franchise.dat error/bug

i have 2 dynasty saved game(1 is my backup) but the original one has this weird problem, it's franchise.dat has some bug or error. everytime i exit nba live 08, an email alert will suddenly beep and "nba live 08 has encountered a problems and needs to close" will appear. aside from that, everything in the game runs perfectly. i figured out that frachise.dat has the problem because when i replaced it with the other franchise.dat from my backup, my nba live exits properly. can somebody help me about this?

my backup copy is about 3 weeks late(season games) from the original one.

If the franchise.dat file is messed up usually all you can do is restore from a backup, which isn't the best news I know but about all you can do at this point. I'd definitely recommend saving your Dynasty twice after every game; two current copies of a saved file ensure that you can try your hand at modding without worrying about data loss and also covers you in case you overwrite a save accidentally.
