Widescreen on both menu and in game

I have nba live 08 installed on windows 7

then i downloaded NBA Live 2004, rip version

then i adjusted the detail settings of Nba live 2004 at its maximum

then i played for a while

then i played nba live 08
i noticed that its already in full screen including the menus

and then i played a one on one match

and its full screen!!

can someone explain me what happened?? =))
