1 How to make all CPU controlled teams not be involved in any trade with other CPU teams?

2 In Season Mode, user have the option to choose more than one team, but can we really play more than one team in season mode?

3 In Season and Dynasty Mode, how to chance the year 2007-2008 to 2011-12?

4 In Season and Playoff Mode, can we change playoff length from 3-3-3-3/7-7-7-7 to something like 1-3-5-7 or 3-3-5-7?

5 And how to use NBA Live 07 roster to Live 08? even if i also have live 07 i don't like to play it, because it's the worst live game ever!

Live 07 doesn't look that bad. I'm not an expert but I'll try to answer your questions.

1. I don't know about this, I mean you could do that in NBA LIVE 2003.

2. You can do that in NBA LIVE 2003.

3. Can't remember but didn't it have something to do with the Franchise/Save data? Maybe if you fool around in there you'll find something.

4. Not that I know of, would probably be difficult.

Yes,I believe you can do this.I think in Season/Dynasty mode you have the option of setting this before the Season/Dynasty mode starts.

No you can't.I am prety sure it is possible,but it just is not worth the time of figuring out.

No.That is something that I wish EA had done though.

1. In Season Mode, there is an option to turn CPU Initiated Trades on and off. It is not available in Dynasty Mode.

2. Yes, in Season Mode. Again, not in Dynasty Mode.

3. It might be possible by editing franchise.dat after a Season/Dynasty game has started, but there's no tutorial for it at this time and I don't think anyone's done it successfully. There is another workaround you could try though.

4. No, you can only select from the available options.

5. It would need to be converted, adding the new fields in the databases for NBA Live 08 that weren't present in NBA Live 07. It's not a task for novices.

I somehow find a way to use live 07 roster to live 08, i copy paste players and appearance dbf one by one, i just thought there is an easier way to do that. thanks anyway for all the answers.

Considering NBA Live 08 added some extra fields to players.dbf, that shouldn't actually work. Unless of course the NBA Live 07 roster you're using was originally converted from NBA Live 08 and thus still has those fields in the database, but in that case you might as well just use the roster originally made for 08.

i did find a way to play 3 teams or more in my nba live 2007 dynasty mode.. its a matter of changing the ISHUMAN from false to true in a team that you want to control..just ask if you encountered any problem..

That has been tried before, but it's led to crashes in the offseason, an inability to access the PDA for all teams, stuff like that. Have you not encountered anything like that?

i think the problem sir is the coaching staff... what i did is, i also change the coaching staff to the team that i want to play in the playoff..

Some scenario if my team is LA Lakers then i chose to add and control Pacers then my current team will be Pacers instead of Lakers base on the letter, I and L.

That is why.... Because of the coaching staff, did you try it already?
..It's because in the begging of the season you will choose your coaching staff for the team that you want to control, therefore, that the coaching staff is for the team that you choose in the dynasty mode.. So if you want to control other team, you should also change the [(team) of the staff] you have hired for the other team that you want to control.. As of the moment, I'm managing LAKERS for the west and CELTICS for the east.. In the event they will meet each other, I will just control the team that owns the court..

If you're wondering about the email, that the MSGs there is for the dynasty team that you only choose at the start, team that you also choose also perform what you instructed, if you do that coaching staff editing..

1st i load a dynasty controlling the Lakers,, then i want also to play Boston
2nd i went to team.dbf and change the ISHUMAN of Boston which indicates FALSE.. so I changed it to TRUE..
what do you mean that "[your current team will be the PACERS]"? your LAKERS was disabled?

No, it's not disable i still have the control over the team but the problem here is, when i make Pacers ISHUMAN to True, instead of Lakers game schedule in display, it is now pacers schedule like i said base on the letter I and L, but if i choose to add Heat, of course Lakers Schedule will be in display, L and M. And another thing here just like what i said you can control more than one but you can only play only one team. If you check the game calendar even if there is a game schedule for that day, all your control add team will just simulate and the one in display will be playable. So that is why im asking you if you can play 82 games for both teams.

No G-GAMe.. After you change the false into true on the ISHUMAN of a team that you want to control. There will be an indicator above the season schedule.. if you try to look above the team that you originally choose, it will have an arrow indicating that if you click that arrow the schedule of the other team which you also want to control will appear.

How about you Dc311, does his method works for you? For me 100% no!

well im just sharing my excitement in playing 2 or more team in a one season or dynasty...if you don't want to try this,well its up to you.

To put it a bit more diplomatically, we appreciate you sharing this stuff Uly, but things can get confusing and misleading when you're offering advice that applies to one game in the section for another. As this thread pertains to NBA Live 08, any advice relating to NBA Live 07 is out of place.
