Lost & Found 08: DoF - Player Model Editing Stuff

Tue Jan 03, 2012 3:57 am

Going through my old computer (to get my dancing sig/avatar back) I found some old stuff that may interest you guys.

I found the old AIM conversation I had with pdub waaay back in the day when he taught me how to edit headshapes and then using the same process how to edit player models. I'm rusty, haven't played Live PC games in a loooong time, and I don't have any of the Live tools or games on my computer to test. But evidently that conversation is what taught me how to edit player models back in the day, so hopefully someone can interpret it and make a legible tutorial. I also included all of the ebo files and hex workshop bookmarks for the files included. Again, I completely forget the process and I really dont plan on returning to figure it out again. Good Luck sirs. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uLl0e-qrcQ

I also included my Depth of Field ENB Series - download/file.php?id=324 (Screenshot)

08.zip

Bonus! I found UltraNIX's ball texture. Best NBA Live ball created IMO.

Essentially, but what I posted is how I learned, so hopefully the torch can be passed on.

Does this mean ur gonna start doin patches for live again?

nope, I was just on my old computer, checked my downloads folder, and checked my old Live installations, and just shared what I found.

IF, I were to come back to Live, it would be either 06 or 2005 anyway.

I added ultraNIX's ball to the first post. Best ball created for NBA Live IMO. Just found it on a random USB stick I was formatting. Bonus!

Thank you! I was wondering what else could enhance Live 08! Though the Live 05 and 06 screenshots look better to me,guess I'll have to buy those too.

I am not using a high-end card. But I have gotten some reasonable Frame-Rates when using this "Depth of Field" I appreciate you revealing this! (Credit do to whoever else is responsible as well!)

I have a few Screen Shots I would like to share as well! Uploaded to image Shack.

I experienced some Performance Problems obviously, but I was able to run it between some 20-45 Frames Per Second.(Varying Settings were deactivated and activated)

Oh and My Card/Chip is ATI Radeon Mobility 4330 HD with Pentium(R) Dual Core T4300 CPU 2.10 GHz 4 GB Memory (RAM).

@Jao I humbly request a link to that texture of the basketball you have posted.. PS:The version I have seems to have defects,It tends to go bright or glows for a minute then it slightly dims,it reverts back and forth between.

I was wondering if this is where I could've gotten it from? http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm (I wanted to learn more and was browsing about ENB etc)

The Screenshots above I had used from the 08.zip that Jao had posted, which lowered my frame-rate significantly.

So I started to use the Flatout 2 one and got this!I still think it's rather too bright It crashes when I start a game,I have to quickly hit SHIFT + F-10 to prevent it otherwise I'll get major drops and eventually crash Live 08.

I have a decent if not great frame rate when using the flatout 2 enb thingy..

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/83 ... t0684.png/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/80 ... t0686.png/

I was going through some other ENB's...This one drops my frame-rate more than the flat out 2 one,but it looks good when things aren't so shiny. It may be a bit do dark though..
