Ankle Breakers, Crossovers,and Shake N' Bake Help

How do i do a move to draw space from a defender when i use the freestyles controls it really doesn't have much effect on the defender ? Or is it i have to do a combination to draw space.If So can you please tell me some combos. I Use Pc Version
