How do you "clone" a player into a created player?

Thu Apr 16, 2009 12:09 am

Here's a pretty noobie question, but I've tried searching and can't come up with anything. I have created a player in NBA Live 08, and would like to add a sleeve of tattoos on him. The closest player I see would probably be Dennis Rodman (I'm using the roster update), so I edited player.dbf and under PLAYERPKG, I put "DERODMAN", but that only updates their portrait and not their tattoos in game. I have the following file in my SGSM directory "DERODMAN_ARM_TAT.FSH" but it's not working for the custom player. My main goal is just to make a custom player with fully tatted arms. Can anyone help me?

You have to set the "ISCREATED" field in players.dbf file to false.

I tried doing this to the players.dbf file, but all it did was change the player portrait and not the actual character in the game. Is there another step I would need to do to complete the process?

***EDIT***
I figured it out! Thanks for your help! :D
