Unable to install game

Every time I try to install the game, I get a message that says:

" Error: reading from file C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA LIVE\audio\speech\gamespch\english\xspchdat.fcd. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it "

Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

Are you installing the game from a DVD or a digital download (ie a download purchased through EA's online store)?

I am downloading it from a DVD. Thanks for the help.

Check the folder it specifies and see if there's anything there. If any files have been installed already, try removing them all and then installing it again.

I tried to remove the files, but I could not because "the file is open in another program". I tried to exit from the installation, but then the folder disappears. Is there anything else I can do?
