Startup Patches?

Hello,

I have been playing NBA Live ever since the good ol' Lakers versus Celtics days. I've often used this site for Live downloads, ever since Lutz, Brian and Tim used to release roster updates for the good ol' Live games.

I recently upgraded my computer and was finally able to purchase a copy of Live 08. I've read many reviews of the PC version of the game and it seems completely flawed.

I spent a couple of hours browsing the patches available for download on this website for the game, yet the entire "Downloads" section seems to be vague and to be honest... it's a tad frustrating to browse through it.

I tried to redirect myself to the individual threads for every patch, yet that is also time consuming, and not fun at all on my slow internet connection.

I make this thread to ask of you... what are the basic patches that I should install in order to be able to enjoy NBA Live 08? I am aware of the roster patches and such, and what I'm looking for are gameplay and dynasty fixes, more than anything. Nifty patches that add new aspects to the game would also be very welcomed. It would be extremely nice to have a thread dedicated to introducing people who have just begun to play Live to the main patches that they should download, in order for them to avoid the strenuous experience of playing a game which seems to be extremely flawed without them.

So could someone, out of the kindness of their heart, please direct me to the basic patches I should download before I engage on this journey? I recently hurt my back playing some ball, so I'm pretty much stuck in bed with the computer for a week, and your help would truly aid in restraining my boredom, if anything.

I hope that this thread is not a repetition on another such thread. I tried searching the forums and could not find anything that's strictly along these lines.

Get a realistic mod if you plan on starting a dynasty.
I don't know which is best, but get one :\

RR 5.5(6.0 is coming after draft) by albys(it includes aiact 4.0 by kris and all fixes you live need)

then download TCU(total court upgage) by lagoa, after it downlad some jerseys(but be careful, some of them might crash with the TCU)

after that download all cyberfaces you want

I'm not sure what you mean here. We try to provide an accurate description of any download we add or that is submitted to us for inclusion in the database. We prefer not to endorse any particular patch as "must-have" out of respect to everyone who contributes to the site. As far as the section being frustrating to browse through, I'd be interested if you could elaborate on that so that we could look at improving it any way we can.

I would suggest downloading an updated roster patch and sim engine fix at the very least as those are the most important updates to anyone seeking accuracy and realism, though due to the game's issues that's unfortunately not guaranteed.
