Help with OJ Mayo Cyberface

Sat May 24, 2008 8:19 am

I made OJ Mayo's Cyberface, at least tried but I'm not sure what to do then. The base head I used has a different skin tone, and I have no idea how to change it. I need help adding it to the game too.
This is what I've done so far:

btw, do you like it?

Few things, look at this tutorial.
http://www.nbaliveforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=49428

Second, try using the smudge tool so you can "fit" his face.

Third, you have to download FshX. Here,
http://download.nba-live.com/pafiledb.p ... file&id=81

Then you have to export the fsh file you got that texture from.
I think it would be ojmayo.

Export wherever, then open FshX, then open ojmayo, then IMPORT your new face, then save, then place ojmayo in your NBA Live 08 sgsm folder.

It's in C:/Program files/EA Sports/NBA Live 08/sgsm.

You are using Photoshop, right?

Yes, i am.

Thanks for that tutorial, it is really useful
I'll start over with OJ, but before I think I'll practice a bit more, I've just begun with cyberfaces.

Your welcome. :)

And don't worry about OJ, it takes practice to get good at anything.

Are you still having trouble getting your face to show up in the game?

Yeah, I mean, I paste the fsh file in the sgsm but nothing happens.
I think I have to do some dbf editing so he can appear in the free agents pool?

And the last thing, where can I find non-smiling HQ pictures? Google keeps on finding in-game pics, or low quality.

Is OJ in the game, or did you create him?

It is hard to get non-smiling pictures.

Type in the NBA player you want, then click images in the left hand corner, then click large size in the left corner so you get a picture of the player in good size quality.

Or look at this for some high quality pictures of NBA players...

I created him.
I've just done 2 cyberfaces for players already in the game, (using the pics from that link you gave me) and put them in sgsm, and it did work, thanks!
This is the result:

Joe Johnson:

And, Tony Parker:

Good.

Yeah, I think you have to do DBF Editing to out him in the free agent pool.

VERY nice Joe Johnson. A tip, take the eye part and put it in the lower left hand corner. Like this... (In-game this looks like, ~something~) Notice the left hand corner

You have to take out the eyes and copy and paste there, or the eyes will restore to EA's...

Nice CF's for your first time, and I"m not just saying that... (Y)

I didn't know that, I'll take into account.
And thanks, I hope I can get better :) .
