Assistants

I am just wondering about a handful of Assistants in Dynasty mode. There stated that his specialty is DEFENSIVE but when I examined his ratings, it turned out that his DEFENSIVE rating is C-, D or sometimes D-!
Does this ratings affect his specialty? Because, bragging aside, I am playing ball myself, too, and I,m particular on defense. When I have a defensive coach, it should be that at least that his defensive ratings will be between A to B-, otherwise he will not excell in his specialty if he rates below the minimum.

Maybe this will better up his D abalities a bit...

It's one of those things that can happen with the generated assistants, much like point guards with poor dribbling and passing ratings. You would think a defensive specialist would have high grades in that category so it's definitely a mismatch. I've never actually signed an assistant like that so I can't comment firsthand on the results but perhaps the poor grades and the specialty balance each other out for fairly average results.
