way too many superstar free agents!

im now in the 3rd year of my dynasty and seeing TONS of high rated free agents. guys like artest, kidd, ellis, granger, ben gordan etc etc.....some of them like monta ellis have already sat in the f.a pool for a year. why doesnt the cpu teams try and re-sign their star players? has anyone found a way to prevent this?

There's no way to prevent it as some players simply decide not to re-sign and then don't lower their asking price so they don't end up signing elsewhere, which is a flaw in the Dynasty AI. If you're playing the PC version, you can overcome the problem by moving them back to their previous teams through DBF editing. Unfortunately, there's no way around it on the console versions.

Maybe this is also affected by salary cap as teams cant afford to re sign them. Even at edited 75,630 (default is 55,630) salary cap limit, i noticed that most teams still have negative salary cap value (BTW im uisng REALROSTER file). I might try to start another dynasty game and raise the cap to 85,000 or higher and see the difference.

You can certainly do that as well if you're playing the PC version.

If you edit them back to their original team using DBF Editing, everything will be back to normal.

Not a bad way of looking at it, actually. It's still not desirable in NBA Live though.
