Can't save slider setting

I change the slider setting than click back to go back to the game and than when i start the game, the settings are back to default. What is going on here, it just doesn't save the slider setting?

Are you talking about a Dynasty game? Any changes you make outside Dynasty Mode won't affect a Dynasty game in progress.
