Welcome to the official support thread for v1.01 of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 08.

A new version (v1.01) of the current roster update for NBA Live 08 has been released and is available to download here.

Key features of v1.01:
- 2007/2008 Season Rosters accurate as of 10/02/08
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Cyberfaces and portraits for missing players

Additional Release Notes

• I uploaded the rosters before seeing that Rasheed Wallace has replaced Kevin Garnett on the East All-Stars. I'll probably release an update in the next couple of days to reflect that change.
  
• As always, the rosters are a work in progress. Suggestions and corrections for ratings and player data are always welcome. Please note there are over 400 players in the roster so while I try to be thorough, chances are I sometimes overlook a player here and there. If that happens, by all means let me know.
  
• The overall ratings will recalculate as I did not get the game to do that automatically after applying Maek's Fatigue/Substitution Fix. In most cases, players will only drop a point or two overall.
  
• Feedback is still very much welcome for the international teams, Decade All-Stars etc. My main focus is always the current rosters but in the spirit of making the rosters as complete as possible, feedback and corrections in other areas would definitely be appreciated.

A big thanks to Maek for the fatigue fix, as well as everyone who posted feedback on the initial release. I should be able to resume more regular updates from now on, keep checking the release date thread for the latest info on future updates.

You're welcome. I'd suggest grabbing one of the simengine fixes for the best results.

I have a question to the roster patches about nba live 08. Why is that everytime i try to update or modify the roster the alternate jerseys of utah and washington cannot be used anymore after i modified it? But honestly i really love every patch for nba live 08 you have released and im looking forward for more patches.

1) i would like to try your roster and alby's roster but im afraid of its compatibility, can i try them both? or is there a difference between the two?

2) and does your roster needs the shoes patch by xiaojou or its already included? or is that shoes patch compatible with your roster?

I'll try this new version. The Official NLSC roster is what we use in our Company NBA Live tournament. Fortunately, I'm the commissioner and we're on our 2nd season to be held after the all-star break.
We use this roster because of it's consistency and non-crashing features unlike the other rosters out there. In Lan/Direct IP games, the simpler the better.
And because we have Season-then-Playoffs setup, we need the most current version of roster available for maximum realism. And you can find it with the official roster.

BTW, I have a roster project right now. I would like to pattern it to the FANTASY NBA leagues. So every rating of each player will reflect from their real-life fantasy value/stats. Hope that I could release it before March. But I can't say it'll be perfect but I'll do my best to make it extremely realistic. I'm targeting to update it every month until the offseason (Feb-July).

The latest NLSC roster includes an updated teamgear.dbf file, so those jerseys should be available.

1. You can only load one roster at a time.

2. The NLSC rosters don't include any shoes.

I don't do jerseys so the rosters do not include the 2008 All-Star jerseys at this time.

I had hoped to do that but I ran out of time. The 07 update is not far off, probably another day or two.

one quick note - Rasheed Wallace has replaced KG on the eastern all star team.

I noticed quite a lot of players whose ratings seemed a bit off as I browsed through the roster screen, but I'll make a more detailed post about that later.

As I said, I'd uploaded the rosters before I saw the news so I'll have to correct that in the next version. I might release a quick update (just the dbfs) with Sheed on the East All-Stars this week, if not a full regular update.

No worries grusom, the timing was a bit unfortunate when I checked the news yesterday but at least it's a minor thing for me to fix.
