Having trouble with NBA Live 08 on wii

this may sound dumb but is it possible to play multiplayer on this game at all?? i want to play against a friend using another remote on the same console but it just wont acknowledge my second remote. at first i thought it was the batteries so i changed them and i still cannot connect two remotes and play each other.

You bought that for the Wii? :O

Does it work in other games/the wii menu? If not, you need to sync the second wiimote.

yeah it works with everything else. i even took the back off and pressend sync.

and no i didn't buy it i just rented it to try it
