NBA LIVE 08 PC own impressions

Well this is not going to be a bugs spotting thread, I think we already have that post here.

Overall I think its really just a fixed version of NBA live 07. Not really too bad since what other option do we PC only NBA Live users get?

Peeves:
1. Camera, I'm not really into to the "Run and Gun" camera style. I do miss the press box, and for some reason the sky box or broadcast setting is not doing it for me.
2. Auto FSS - This is especially true for passing, Imagine driving, seeing an open man, and hoping to pull off a pass. If your player is not skilled in passing it would pull out a normal pass. But if he has fss passing skill... It takes longer to do an fss pass because of the animation, and by the time you pass the defense had already adjusted.
3. Default Slider settings - This kinda sucks. I was playing a china vs germany game (on 5 minutes, superstar mode), I was using china. Nowitzki suddenly went 24 for 24 on me on jumpshots from around the 15 foot area and layups/dunks. On the other hand, Yi JianLian (who I was playing on sf) was easily driving and scoring on dunks and layups on the other end. As I read in a previous post before, the technique to breaking a game open (at theis to just give it to a good wingman and drive the wings. This peeve can be easily solved i guess, I'm just too lazy to start fiddling around on my own and have to wait for the other people's sliders.
4. Direct pass - It had been mentioned before, where the direct pass button mechanic had been changed to a simple hold to a switch. Also the Center position is now the Pass button.
5. Dynasty missing Roster change - well as (i think) Andrew said more of an oversight by the EA sports team.
6. Rosters/Ratings - It's kinda sad to see the Lakers rookie, Javaris Crittenton, being their 3rd best player on the team (next to Odom and Kobe). Well it could also be a reflection on how terrible a situation my beloved Lakers are in but well... you get the point hehe

Likes:
1. Defense assist button - Its nearly similar to just holding down on the right analog stick but for me (perhaps its just a mental thing) it seems tighter.
2. Some Shooting animations - Ray Allen and Shawn Marion's are quite fun to watch.
3. Well i had some trouble thinking of something else... so well I guess I Like it since it's the only NBA game available.

Right now, I'm not really playing the game... The 24 for 24 dirk killed my spirits hehe I'm waiting for the sliders and roster updates to come.

I think if nothing else, it just feels more natural to hold down a shoulder button rather than down on the right analog.

That button change was made to 07, also. If you tap the direct pass button, it does some kind of forward pass to a player in front of you or the player closest to the basket, I'm not sure which one exactly. I don't like it because I can't quickly use the direct pass button like I used too.

I'm also a fan of the old method of holding direct pass rather than toggling it on and off.

WHY DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP GAME, SINCE ALL I EVER SEE IS PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE STUPID GAME , EA NEVER FIXES ANYTHING..THEY ONLY MAKE IT WORSE, SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR LIKE I DID, AND DONT EVER BUY A GAME FORM THAT COMPANY AGAIN. MY SUGGESTION, IS YOU SWITCH TO A CONSOLE AND BUY NBA 2K8 OR ON THE PC, YOU CAN PLAY FREESTYLE STREET BASKETBALL.
