wait maybe you can, because if you've a CFW( Custom Firmware) for the PSP you can dump the game to your PC and maybe then you can edit some ratings and few things more!(But I think that this option may be illegal)

what i did in my ps2 game is i traded him from the legends pool to the heat, then i just edited his stats down.

when i was playing nba live for the pc i used a program that i downloaded from this site and i could edit the players jerseys, ratings etc. but you have to do it thru ms access. i don't know if there's a similar program that you can use on your psp.

I think EA just doesn't give a shit in general...

The October 4th update is very minor to say the least. I recall the producer blog that dealt with FIBA mode mentioning that roster updates would update Team USA with the 2007 squad and that hasn't happened as yet.

Perhaps Hardaway's omission is due to the fact he is currently signed to a non-guaranteed contract and hasn't been on a guaranteed contract since the 2005/2006 season. If that's the case, the updates might remain fairly minor leading up to the tipoff the 07/08 season.

Andrew, do you know what's the frequency of the roster updates? At least the Oct 4th update puts the starters to be fairly accurate as compared to the default ones.

IF Penny isn't in the game, meaning even a roster update will not produce him? I forgot if Yi Jianlian was in the china team prior to this Oct 4th update...at least now he's really a play-able player.

I'm not actually sure, I've only had my Xbox 360 since May so perhaps someone who followed the updates last year might be able to give you a better idea. Last year the updates stopped in January, I believe there were a few leading up to that final download but I could be mistaken.

I hope that EA sports can have a database of NBA players infos and ratings, there seems to be some players missing from the NBA 2008 rosters, like C. Hayes, Scola.. etc. So NBA 2008 users can just look at the database and create the missing players from the create/edit players menu

It seems unlikely they'd make one available but I'm sure as a community we can compile such information.
