don't make me slap you.

mostly a bunch of unknowns, at least to the mainstream. finally they broke the chain of Black Eyed Peas songs. KRS-One usually puts out some good stuff. Other than that, I've only heard of Eve, Joss Stone & Timbaland and Jazzy Jeff. is Stephen Marley related to Bob Marley?

R u kidding me?

Is the song "It Don’t Make Any Difference" a hint?
just joking

Yea, and brother to Ziggy and Damian.

After listening to 10 of the songs, I can't say it's all that good. Better than several of the previous ones (Not saying too much), yet not by far. It doesn't even seem like an NBA soundtrack (Is that good or bad?).
My favourites so far are Fa-Fa-Fa, Running From The Thoughts, Hey Baby and Silent Earth. Hip Hop Lives and Tambourine are pretty bad though..

I like it, as long as there is no mainstream rap garbage.

Thanks homie. I'm going to find all of the songs on IMEEM and give my impression.

EDIT: Alright, here are the NBA Live 08 songs I could find on IMEEM and YouTube. The only one I couldn't get the full song is Mr. J. Medeiros - Silent Earth (Ohmega Watts Remix). Peace.

It looks like I'll only be listening to the instrumental tracks. Songs that are played on the radio 24/7 should not be on the soundtrack.

EA wrote:When it comes to defining new music for the coming year, the NBA LIVE soundtrack is the music industry’s top playmaker,” said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA. “On previous soundtracks, we’ve introduced acts like Fabolous, Gnarls Barkley, Lupe Fiasco and Mark Ronson. This year, Mark returns with a great new track, The Dey and Kevin Michael will be among the year’s breakthrough artists, we’ve got several landmark collaborations, and we’re proud to have what may be the strongest singles ever from Eve, Timbaland and Stephen Marley. The goal remains to further define the global cultural phenomenon of music – and help shape its future – via one of the hottest sports videogame franchises in the world today. The NBA LIVE soundtrack is now officially a dynasty.

I just turn off all the songs as soon as I boot the game the first time. Every EA Sports game has the worst music I've ever heard.

Indeed. They're doing their best to apeal to the average consumers; retarded, ADD, 11 year olds that think MTV rap and songs with "fresh beats" are good music.

You have got to be kidding

Joss Stone - Tell Me ‘Bout It

Nice song but why the hell is it included in a basketball videogame soundtrack. It makes no sense.

The Hives - Well Alright
Cool Kids - 88
Eve - Tambourine
Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson - The Way I Are
Kevin Michael featuring Wyclef Jean - It Don’t Make Any Difference

WTF.

Wed Sep 19, 2007 4:38 am

I think it's a unique soundtrack for a basketball game.

What's that song called that's in the demo menu?

Wed Sep 19, 2007 4:56 am

I don't like NBA Live series soundrack...For example, NHL series have good soundtrack and I like that sons, but I don't like NBA Live series songs...I don't like Rap or Hip Hop...

^So you must really hate it, huh? Garbage rap is garbage rap, whether it's mainstream or not. I know that to some kids the music is cool just because of the fact that it's called underground but that's bullshit. There's alotta wack music in the underground as well.

ONLY decent song on there, in my eyes, is Hip Hop Lives.

But I don't care anyway. I never listen to the soundtracks. That's like the first thing I do when I get the newest NBA Live. I turn off the music and open my media player in the background.

Wed Sep 19, 2007 8:34 am

Well, I guess you will just be behind in what is cool, as Live is "the music industry's top playmaker" and will be defining "new music for the coming year" and "the global cultural phenomenon of music" not like your silly media player!

Wed Sep 19, 2007 8:39 am

Shit. I'm always missing out on the newest and hottest shit... :shake:

I'm always behind, I guess being cool is just not in my genes.

And you in US you are somehow familiar with these sounds.

Here in Europe this music is a problem for our ears.

Hip Hop sucks.
