2011-12 Season Rosters patch causes crash

I downloaded the patch and now when i start a game, the program crashes and exits. I put the contents (DBF files) into \database\OrigDB, replacing any files with the same name. Alternatively, I tried putting them in Documents\NBA LIVE 08\database\currentdb (and originaldb, workingdb) and that didn't work either. Am I missing something?

Rosters should be placed in the saves folder, not originaldb.
