What file is it?

Postby 187_MK on Sun May 16, 2010 11:35 pm

What dbf file is responsible for the appearances of shoes? Is it the shoeacc file? If that is the only file, how come the desired shoes for each player is different. I mean, having ray allen to wear green shoes, he wears white shoes. This is happened also to dwight howard wherein he is wearing the black +orange shoes instead of white+blue shoes. BTW, I am using XIAOJU's real shoes patch. Any immediate response please

well the ID's in the shoesacc.dbf (which is the only database for shoe appearances) has to match the file name of the shoe (shXXX.fsh)

for example
if you think the ID (123) is the green shoe...but the file sh123.fsh is white...then u will get a white shoe no matter what the database says

basic rule
numbers (ID) have to match file names

So the file responsible for this problem is the shoeacc.dbf? Am i right? I made an experiment last night and I made two folders, the "Prototype",which is a copy of the 0910Uninjured folder, and "XIAOJU", which contains shoesacc.dbf that I am looking for and when I have loaded this folder, the players have their proper shoes but their accessories are messed up, meaning they are wearing headbands, bicep accessories and etc. which in real nba life, they are not wearing those. I've copied the shoesacc.dbf of the Folder "XIAOJU" to folder "Prototype". The shoes have changed but they don't match the right shoes that they should be wearing like when I have loaded the file "XIAOJU".

You have said that that the ID is to be changed in order from these players to wearing accurate shoes but will I change them manually?

That is step one. Step two is reassigning all the player to the correct shoes. If XIAOJU didn't release a batch file to apply to your roster automatically, then you will have to do it manually by editing the shoe id of the players in the new roster to match the shoe id of the players in the old roster.

example:

Prototype folder
what the shoe is SUPPOSE to be: Ray Allen green
file name of above shoe: sh123.fsh
shoeacc.dbf ID of above shoe: 123
Ray Allen's assigned shoe ID in the appearance.dbf is: 123
what shoes up in game: Ray Allen green shoe

XIAOJU folder
what the shoe is SUPPOSE to be: Ray Allen green
file name of above shoe: sh123.fsh
shoeacc.dbf ID of above shoe: 124
Ray Allen's assigned shoe ID in the appearance.dbf is: 123
what shoes up in game: Ray Allen white shoe

make changes accordingly, whether it be to change the 1) assignment in the appearance.dbf or 2) if u want to modify the shoeacc.dbf or 3) if u want to modify the files themselves

1 is easiest, then 2 and 3 is not hard...but could get confusing

u can always go into the player edit and manually select the correct shoe....but then with mismatching ID's the previews might not show up correctly either

very detailed indeed. I want to change all of the player's shoes. Will change them manually?
