how to save changes in dbf editor?

for asve you just need to exit dbf... but you need to make sure that there is a tick next to save setting on exit (it's in options)

Changes are saved automatically when you move to a new cell (box) in the database but you can also click the tick button. I always just move to the next cell and let it save automatically though, I've never had a problem doing that.

Also note that you can't save or load a DBF file while it's open in DB Commander, if you're editing the databases while you've got the game minimised.

...which can be used indefinitely, albeit with the nag pop-up when you open it.
