Trouble Creating a Created Player Portrait

I tried to follow the tutorial found here: http://www.nba-live.com/nbalivewiki/ind ... t_Tutorial . But this tutorial is for adding a portrait of a existing player. So can anyone explain to me what do I need to change when it comes to a created player?

Basically, you'll need to follow the same steps as installing a face patch.

I dont get it, actually. Sorry to bother ya but im a complete newbie at this. I have a 128x128 portrait. And now the tutorial asks me to extract the player i want to edit. And i dont know how.
