Roster Help

Postby kickphat on Mon Jul 13, 2009 7:50 am

Ok L. James became a Free Agent in my game and i have enough cap to sign him so i did but i also have R. Gay as another SF what should i do with him. I"m thinking of putting Gay as my PF but James has the better Inside Scoring rating. I'm trying to get the best lineup i can.

My lineup looks like this right now
C: A. Horford Overall: 84
PF: R. Gay Overall: 84
SF: L. James Overall: 99
SG: O. Mayo Overall: 89
PG: C. Paul Overall: 92

I was thinking of trading R. Gay for a Real PF or a Draft pick right before the trade deadline as i just signed him 2 years ago. and O.J. Mayo's contract is up at the end of the season and i don't if i will have the cap room to resign him. I'm entering my 4 season

With his size and inside scoring abilities, LeBron would definitely be the better fit at power forward. However, with the other players you have at the wing positions I'd be inclined to try and trade him for a power forward myself.

I've been trying to trade him all season and i have no takers every team that as a good PF and bad SF don't have the cap room or they say i don't have the cap room or they aren't ready to trade there player yet at this time

It's certainly easier said than done sometimes. In the meantime I'd play LeBron at power forward but in the long run I'd still look to trade Rudy for a power forward. Remember that teams who are winning are less inclined to trade away their stars, even if they're getting a good deal in return and the CPU judges fair trade value by overall ratings.

both Cleveland, and the Spurs both only had 15 wins by the the all star break but i didn't have the cap room for the trade. i guess i gotta off load some of my 70 over players that are getting paid too for lower skilled players that take up less cap

Certainly an option, though if you can possibly include a couple of other players in the trade to balance the salaries that might be easier (and quicker).
