!!!nba live problem!!!

pls help! I've just copied a version of nba live 08 at my friends house. He is using vista. When i start launching nba live 08 it will not play then a message appear that it encountered a problem and needs to be closed. PLS HELP! thanks

by the way i"m using an XP version, does this affect?
