Weird GamePad Issue - Logitech Dual USB

Postby mikeyv23 on Thu Nov 06, 2008 5:30 am

Hey All,

I have 2 Logitech Dual USB gamepads that are a few years old. Neither one has given me trouble until recently. When playing NBA Live 08 by the middle of the fourth quarter, the player I am controlling will start doing things that I am not pressing the buttons for (posting up, crossover dribbles, etc). If I exit the game (not the whole thing, just the game I am playing) and start a new one it continues. If I reboot the computer it usually is fine for a little while until late in a game.

I am running Windows XP x64 Professional edition if it matters. I don't mind buying a new gamepad if there is a better option out there. I just wanted to see if anyone else was having a similar problem or had run into this. It makes me think something is wrong with the calibration, but I can't figure out what. Or like a button is getting stuck.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Haven't run into any problems like that with my Logitech controller but I guess you can't rule out a hardware fault. Is it behaving like that in any other game? If so, it might be worth recalibrating the gamepad or even reinstalling the drivers.
