Yes, by editing the FTRITUAL column in players.dbf.

No, that's not possible. The dbf field stands for "Free Throw Ritual" such as Gilbert Arenas circling the ball around his body before he takes his shot. There were a few in older versions of NBA Live, but I don't think they are used in NBA Live 08. The last time I remembe them being used was for players like Tracy McGrady who actually took their shot a few feet behind the freethrow line, and setting the FTRITUAL to the value that McGrady used would have that player stand farther back from the freethrow line.

I don't think FTRITUAL is even used in NBA Live 08 for PC.

Pdub, do you say that FTRITUAL is useless in NBA Live 08? there are less free throw rituals than in live 07 but there are still a few: Garnett, Kidd, Jermaine O'Neal...
In this thread I told what I found when I imported 07's freethrow rituals to 08: http://www.nbaliveforums.com/viewtopic. ... highlight= (well, I said that the 07 rituals that aren't in 08 can't be used)

But there is no way to make a signature free throw shots.

So do the players actually perform their ritual at the freethrow line before taking their shot?

yes, haven't you played with Jason Kidd and see that he does his ritual before the freethrow shot? I guess you haven't played live 08 or 07 too much (and that is the best you can do with these so called basketball simulation games)

Gilbert Arenas doesn't circle the ball around his waist before taking the shot! I wish he did. Although some players do have a ritual.
