PC: Jumpshots

How do you make a jumpshot! I can't seem to make one to save my life. I get to their hotspots and I have a LOT of room and hit the shoot button and it always misses.

Make sure you hold down the shoot button for a second, don't just click it or else the player will rush the shot. Seemed to help for me back in the day.

The Hot Spots aren't areas where players are guaranteed to make shots, simply the areas where they shoot the best (as indicated by statistical data taken from last season). You'll need to time the release properly; hold the shoot button and release it at the top of your jump. Of course, other factors such as your player's ratings, fatigue level, the presence of any defenders and whether you're leaning in or fading away will also contribute to the shot's likelihood of going in.

I've tried holding it the hold time, releasing at the top, etc.

I was Ray Allen and in practice mode and still couldn't hit any 3s.

Ah, you must be playing on the PC then. The developers did something awkward with the jumpshots causing the user to rarely have a chance at hitting jumpshots. The easy solution is to turn the slider up for medium and long range shots.

Try long range at 58, medium range at 52. When I was playing it seemed like there was a good tradeoff between makes and misses, but that's me and my timing.

Used those settings, a LOT better. I actually hit a few shots :]

yes bro it seems that ea made some bugs which will really make shooting difficult(plus the animations and sigshots that webberf1 and ignatus made)..

I'm not having any problems with making shots..it's working fine for me...
