Custom Portrait

Can you help me make custom portrait? I've seen the tutorial but I ain't sure it's same for 08... I followed instructions from tutorial, but some steps are missing!

Tutorials for portraits should be the same for Live 2005, 06, 07 and 08.

Ok, but I can't figure it out how to use hex editor, what to extract, it's little bit messy that part!

in the hex editor just scroll down into the bottom part and change the 7 letter name with yours.

sir, i already edit the 7 letter name in the hex editor, but some letters are turning red, and when i already rebuild and put the patch on sgsm my portrait doesn't exist..

how can i make this work sir.. help me pls... tnx in advance..

Did you use a .png format for your pic?

I searched around and found this thread, so instead of making my own, I just would ask my questions here.

First off, can I just add a portrait to my created player? I created him in the game and just made him a part of the player pool via players.dbf instead of just being a created player. I just want to add a portrait. If that's possible, then my next questions are below. If not, and I really have to make a cyberface...can anyone make me one?

I went to the tutorial but there are some things I don't understand. I'm really new to this, and have no clue with the extracting, importing, replacing, rebuilding, what have you stages. I'm stuck at the .fsh portion, one where, after extracting the 4 files from the .big, I would open the fsh, and that's where all the actual portrait-switching takes place. But I have no idea as to what I'm supposed to really do! lol

I need someone to explain in to me, in plain english (lol); what I need to do, what program/s work easy when doing those things.

Thanks to anyone who'd take the time to explain; I figure this is a real easy thing for you guys but I'm just new to this. :oops:

I have the same problem :lol:

I created the player in roster managament, did everything in teh tutorial, but the portriat still doesn't exist in the game
