how to remove teams from dynasty?

i want to remove some teams so that i could play dynasty with just my custom teams. i tried removing them from the teams.dbf but nothing happens.

Removing? What exactly did you do? Delete lines?

Deleting entries in the databases isn't a good idea. It always seems to result in problems at some point and seldom achieves what you want in the first place.

As far as I know, Dynasty Mode will still only support 30 teams; no more, no less. That means if you remove any of the existing NBA teams, you'll need to make sure you have enough custom teams to make up the numbers. Assuming you do, I would recommend swapping the TEAMCODE values so that the custom teams are recognised as regular teams and the NBA teams are recognised as custom/All-Star teams (ie not available in Season/Playoffs/Dynasty Mode).

You'll probably also want to swap the TEAMIDs between the custom teams and any NBA teams you replace so that they match up with the IDs in the schedule.
